Mireille Cossée
Mireille Cossée is a University Professor and Hospital Practitioner (PU-PH), Head of the Department of Molecular Genetics and Cytogenomics at the Montpellier University Hospital (CHU de Montpellier). Her research focuses on the molecular pathophysiology of hereditary neuromuscular diseases, particularly titinopathies, a field in which she has developed nationally recognized expertise, notably through the coordination of the Titin Consortium within the FILNEMUS rare disease network, as well as at the international recognition.
She has established an integrated approach combining the analysis of patients’ phenotypic, genetic, and biochemical data with multi-omic methods (RNA sequencing, proteomics) and the study of cellular models. This strategy aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying the phenotypic variability observed in these complex disorders.
